Dr Munugani is a General Surgeon currently working as Directory of Surgery at Hervey Bay Hospital. He completed his MBBS in India in 2003 and migrated to Australia in 2005. He is a fellow of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and did one year of advanced robotic and laparoscopic Hepatobiliary surgery at Mater Hospital. He is also a member of General Surgeons of Australia (GSA) and Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA). He has completed his Masters in Health Services Management.
Dr Munugani has been trained under elite surgeons from Brisbane (Princess Alexandra Hospital) since 2009 and finished his fellowship in 2018. He started his career as a Resident in Hervey Bay Hospital in 2006. Since 2019 Dr Munugani is Senior Consultant for General Surgery. He is currently in the position of Director.
Dr Munugani is passionate about patient care with special interests including Colorectal Surgery, Complex Hernia Surgeries along with General Surgical procedures including Oncological Breast Resections, Endoscopies including Colonoscopy and Gastroscopy
