All research projects undertaken at UnitingCare Health Facilities require prior approval from the UnitingCare Health Human Research and Ethics Committee (HREC).

The HREC is formed under the auspices of the National Health and Medical Research Council, which provides leadership and advice regarding research governance in Australia.

UnitingCare Health HREC meets every two months to consider applications for research projects from investigators within UnitingCare Health.
