St Stephen’s Hospital provides diagnostic and cardiac services, offering patients from the Fraser Coast region advanced treatment with personal care.
Our dedicated cardiology service is supported by highly qualified specialist cardiologists and a resident medical officer service with specially trained nursing staff.
The hospital also has all the necessary non-invasive diagnostic services including:
- Ultrasound.
- X-rays.
- Heart CT scans.
- Transthoracic echocardiography.
While many patients will not need to travel for medically managed cardiac services due to our advanced care, some patients requiring interventional cardiology procedures may need to be referred to Bundaberg or Brisbane.

To access cardiac services at St Stephen’s Hospital, you will need a referral from your GP. From there, you can make an appointment with one of our cardiologists.
