Dr Sasikaran Nalliah is a General Surgeon with special interest in advanced laparoscopy, abdominal hernias, colorectal and gallbladder surgeries. He is a GESA accredited endoscopist, regularly performing endoscopies and colonoscopies. As a General Surgeon he also performs breast, endocrine, skin cancer and circumcision surgeries. He Joined Hervey Bay Public Hospital in 2018. He is commencing private practice at St Stephen’s Private Hospital from April 2019 to provide quality care to the Wide Bay community.

Dr Nalliah possesses a wealth of knowledge gained since 2001 from working in different hospitals in Australia (both regional and tertiary) and Sri Lanka. He is well-informed on the latest advancements in medical science and has a well-earned reputation as an exceptional surgeon with a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery (key hole). 

He always involves his patients in the discussion of management options in the most practical way.  He will listen to all their concerns and help them make the right decision for the best outcome for their overall well-being.
