Dr Paul Du Toit is a Rehabilitation Medicine Physician. He became a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine in 2018. Dr du Toit offers services in General Rehabilitation, including Geriatric Medicine and Musculoskeletal Medicine. General rehabilitation includes orthopaedic, neurological, cardiac, cancer, and respiratory rehabilitation, as well as amputee rehabilitation, including prosthetics and orthotics, and rehabilitation of the deconditioned patient.
Dr du Toit has an interest in Botulinum Toxin Therapy for the management of spasticity in neurological conditions including post stroke, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury and head injury. He uses an ultrasound-guided technique, which is more accurate and less painful for his patients.
Dr du Toit has a special interest in musculoskeletal medicine, having come from a background as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and having completed the post graduate diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine from Otago University in New Zealand. He also has a post graduate diploma in Geriatric Medicine.
